Anti Slavery Policy

In light of recent news that has shook the industry regarding questionable activities, including the discovery of forced labour by a number of companies and suppliers within our industry who have now been excluded from the US supply chain, ECS have deemed it imperative that we make clear that we do not associate ourselves with any of these parties and assure you of our commitment to fair and lawful employment, as well as our duties to maintain and improve practices in order to combat slavery and uphold our standards which include ensuring fair working conditions.

We would also like to make our stance VERY clear on this matter; we do not agree with, nor support any organisations who commit malpractice and go against basic human rights and believe these businesses and those who are associated should not have access to ANY market.

To us, the role of a successful business goes far beyond profitability, and should only be considered as successful if necessary standards and commitments are upheld, which include our obligation to providing high quality products using ethically sourced components, while limiting our impact on the environment, but more important than this, is our insistence on providing fair working conditions for each and every one of our employees, including all whom we associate ourselves with.

Our Principles and Policies

The role of a business, as mentioned above has become even more significant in both achieving and promoting a sustainable society. As such, Effective Consumable Solutions adheres to the principles of social responsibility, which includes our commitment to respect fundamental human rights by providing fair working conditions and prohibiting forced labour, child labour and other illegal labour practices.

In short, the principles we represent and enforce include;
  • Accountability
  • Transparency
  • Ethical Behaviour
  • Respect for Stakeholder Interests
  • Respect for the rule of the law
  • Respect for the international norms of behaviour
  • Respect for human rights
Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking

We continually review and improve our systems in order to identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains, enabling us to prevent and mitigate any and all risk of slavery and human trafficking from occurring within our supply chains.

ECS have zero tolerance to slavery, human trafficking and any other aspect of employment which doesn't align with our morals and values in relation to the principles of social responsibility.

We have in place our own compliance system focusing solely on our suppliers to ensure that they too comply with our values, which includes our own in-depth review of any and all sites of business activity, as well as contractual warranties which ensure our suppliers comply with our practices of social responsibility and CSR procurement standards. In the unlikely event that we aren't reasonably satisfied with our suppliers commitment to our policies, practices and procedures, we will take action with zero tolerance in the best interest of our Partners.

In addition to our compliance system, and in order to ensure a complete understanding of the risks involved with modern slavery and the ignorance of basic human rights, we provide training to each and every member of ECS regarding these key aspects.

Once again, we'd like to reiterate; these actions of some industry members are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
